GURT and DOPETHRONE kick off summer UK tour tomorrow!

All hail the mighty bong! UK sludge heroes GURT are joining forces with Canadian titans DOPETHRONE for a week of sonic debauchery and eight shows across the UK, starting tomorrow!

The drums are thunderous, the vocals demonic and the guitars down-tuned, down-tempo and down right sexy. This is not doom, this is not sludge: this is GURT. The UK foursome’s wicked sense of humour bubbles at the surface of their upcoming new album ‘Bongs of Praise’, out September 6th, check out rip-roaring new tracks ‘Weed It and Weep‘, as well as ‘Jazz Cabbage‘ song and ‘Rolling Stoned‘ now.

« We are beyond excited to be once again be reunited with our brothers (and sister) in Dopethrone! We’ve been all across Europe with them in 2014 and then across the UK again in 2016 and to share the stage with the epic new line up, it’s going to be an honour and a privilege as we have both come a long way since we last toured together. After touring Europe and hitting the biggest festivals stages all through the summer, Montréal kings of filth DOPETHRONE are joining their long-time brothers in arms for their long-awaited return in the UK. Hold on to your seats, as the trio have officially welcomed additional vocalist Julie Swan in their ranks. Expect this tour to be sludgier, heavier and nastier than anything you’ve seen before!
