After their 2013 horror-inspired « Arcane » gave the creeps to the masses, French post-sludgers LOS DISIDENTES DEL SUCIO MOTEL are back with their third album « Human Collapse », a humanist and post-apocalyptic manifesto coming out this Friday on Ripple Music.

LDDSM explain what inspired the whole concept and theme: « Human Collapse » is based on a story we wrote, guided by the moods and images that came to our mind. Something that makes you think and feel your music in a different way. This is an anticipation story about a dystopian future, which could happen sooner than we think if we don’t react now. As its thread touched us on a personal level, it felt very natural to write. The only sad thing: we didn’t imagine that the events we wrote about would be so close from today’s reality (we started to imagine this concept album two years ago). This « nobody man », it could be you or me. We are pieces on a huge chessboard, but we can all partake in the game too. Seeing all these leaving their home, their friends, family and everything they have to survive and come to Europe, was our main inspiration and this album is dedicated to them. We tried to understand how such a life choice can transform you as a human being. We didn’t set any barrier and let our inspiration talk, that’s why the album is so varied yet coherent. The screams, symphonic orchestrations, fuzzy or acoustic guitars, all this played in a darker way. Working with Cube Studio for the recordings and on the arrangements was perfect, also Kurt Balou and Alan Douches did a fantastic work. It’s exactly what we wanted: a flood of decibels with a surgical precision. »
As always with LDDSM, this new album revolves around a concept, depicting a dystopian future inspired by the social and environmental crises our society is going through. Louder, darker and deeper than the previous efforts, « Human Collapse » is also Ripple Music’s heaviest release to date.
It was recorded at Cube Studio in Besançon, mixed by Kurt Ballou (Converge) at Godcity Studio and mastered by Alan Douches (West West Side Music). The artwork was designed by French art collective 128db.

Following up on their two previous albums and confirming their undeniable talent for writing thrilling cinema-inspired music – action movies with « Soundtrack From The Motion Picture » (Deadlight Ent. 2011) and Z movies with « Arcane » (Deadlight Entertainment/Hell Prod 2013) – French heavy five-piece LOS DISIDENTES DEL SUCIO MOTEL sign their third full-length « Human Collapse » on Ripple Music, depicting a dystopian future inspired by the social and environmental crises our society has been going through these past decades.
Recorded at Cube Studio in Besançon, mixed by Kurt Ballou (Converge) at Godcity Studio and mastered by Alan Douches (West West Side Music), this new chapter in the LOS DISIDENTES DEL SUCIO MOTEL story is once again deeply rooted in heavy rock, a 10-track manifesto driven by the band’s powerful vocal duo and mature orchestration. LDDSM are now set to present « Human Collapse » on stage, an overall experience that will be enhanced by the visual work of 128db Collective, depicting the main character’s wandering in a post-apocalyptic world after a full societal collapse.
